    Hobbies & Interests

    Cooking

I love to cook. I've been known to spend over three hours making dinner on a weeknight. Developing recipes and cooking new things is something I've had a passion for for a long time.

    Computers

One of the reasons I got into IT was because I genuinely enjoy technology. I built my first home server in high school, and have since spent countless hours tweaking it, developing new applications and services, learning about networking and security, and just generally improving something that was originally designed as simply a game server for me and my friends. I’ve upgraded my home lab a bit since high school (built a higher-end tower running ESXi with a handful of differently flavored VMs running under it) and am continuously striving to bring all the digital services that I use in-house.

    Tabletop Gaming

I'm a huge Dungeons and Dragons buff. I Dungeon Master for a group of friends, and I spend a good chunk of my free time writing material for our campaign. In addition to Dungeons and Dragons I play lots of board and card games (one of my favorites is a superhero game called Sentinels of the Multiverse).
